Develope a Motivated Mind

- Flick Your Mindset to Positive
Have you ever felt tired, bored, disinterested, or unmotivated to move forward? If you're anything like the majority of people on the planet, then the answer will be a resounding "Yes". Sometimes you lose your zest for life, or wonder where your "mojo" has gone. Perhaps you're overwhelmed by work, or just plain fed up with the monotonous routine of everyday life.

OK - the good news is that you CAN do something about it. You can improve your lifestyle, your health and your wealth just by changing how you think. Here's a few tips to help break that monotony and put some spring back in your step again:

1. Take a Breather: Just step back from the old routine and chill. Take a few minutes to yourself and empty your mind of all the stresses and strains you're feeling. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and just plain old relax - this will give you a chance to recharge your batteries. You should try and do this on a regular basis (daily or twice daily), and it will take some time to get into the habit. It may feel strange to you at first, but just persevere with it and it will bring you many benefits in the long term. Consider those few moments of inner peace as a gift to yourself - you deserve it.

2. Deliberately do something which inspires you: There's a misconception that inspiration falls into the successful person's lap - it doesn't. You have to go out and find it, or create it yourself. So read something motivational, uplifting, inspirational, or even funny. Look at some photos, listen to some music, or even just think of something positive - whatever it is that inspires you - do that. It'll be like giving your brain a well-earned rest, and after it you'll feel invigorated and ready to go again.

3. Recapture why you got excited in the first place about what you're doing: Whenever you begin a new project, you're excited about motivated about what's ahead, and you're eager to get started. That can sometimes wain as you work away, but always remember why you're doing it in the first place. It always helps before you even begin any project, to write down what you want to achieve from it - what's the payoff going to be for you/your family/your company? When you run out of steam, go back and read that, and put the thoughts of achieving those goals back in your mind again. If you're not excited by the tasks you have to do to reach a goal, focus on the goal and re-kindle your enthusiasm again.

4. START. It's a small 5-letter word, but it's often the hardest part of doing anything. Don't wait until something is perfect before you start it - just start it. You can't steer a parked car! At least if your car is moving, even if its going in the wrong direction you can correct it, but there's nothing you can do if it's not moving in the first place. You'll be amazed that when you start something, you will start to see and attract things and people to you that you never would have considered if you hadn't started in the first place. Get going - just do it!

5. Look after yourself and your health: When you're busy it's easy to skip meals / grab fast food / skip exercise / get too little sleep, but believe it or not taking time to do these things will actually mean you'll get more done. Your body and mind are incredible machines and whether you believe it or not they can do amazing things, but you have to look after them and feed them properly, so eat properly, exercise regularly, drink plenty of water, and get enough sleep. You'll have more energy and be able to focus far better than if you kept working.

One final tip - don't be so hard on yourself. Reward yourself from time to time, especially when you achieve any important milestone. If you promised yourself something for achieving it, them make sure to follow through on it - it'll program your subconscious mind toward a success / reward cycle, and you'll want to repeat the process of achievement - reward.

Don't forget, motivation and inspiration are not bestowed on us - they're something we choose for ourselves. You have to constantly and consciously create them. Even if the world around you is negative, you can choose your thoughts. You don't have to think like everyone around you. If you keep doing this regularly, it will become a habit, and it will become much easier . . .

. . . and you will have a better life.

It's worth it.
